Snow postpones Sauber Petronas C22 rollout.

Fiorano (Italy) - Thursday, January 9, 2003 - Team Sauber Petronas could not complete its rollout of the new Sauber Petronas C22 in plain livery today, at the Scuderia Ferrari's test track in Fiorano, Italy.

Tests now will take place in Barcelona, Spain (still in plain livery) on January 13-15, 2003 (with German drivers Nick Heidfeld and Heinz-Harald Frentzen and, after that, in Valencia (Spain) on January 21-23 and 29-31, 2003.

Weather conditions in Fiorano were bad this morning. Snow covered the track overnight and continued to fall today.

The C22 reflects a completely different design approach compared to the C21 with which the Team secured fifth place in the 2002 FIA Formula One World Championship.

Team Sauber Petronas will unveil its car in full livery at the official launch on February 9, 2003 in Oerlikon, near Zurich (Switzerland) Full details of the Sauber Petronas 2003 racing programme will be announced at this time.
