Team Sauber Petronas continued its test at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona today. Nick Heidfeld covered 96 laps in the Sauber Petronas C22 to set the fourth quickest time of 1:17.464. Tomorrow Heinz-Harald Frentzen will take over, and Nick Heidfeld will conduct some straightline testing at Lurcy-Levis in France to evaluate and validate aerodynamic changes. That work will continue next week in Vairano.

Jacky Eeckelaert (Head of Vehicle Engineering):

"Once again we had a good, reliable day of testing, but the wind prevented us gathering much meaningful data from this morning's aerodynamic tests. It was intermittent, but that still affected the overall validity of our findings as we tried another new front wing that arrived last night. This afternoon, as intended, Nick switched to another tyre programme for Bridgestone."

Nick Heidfeld:

"The gusting wind was annoying at times today, but once again the car was reliable and we got a lot of laps in. As our understanding of the C22 improves, we are continuing to make progress."

Weather: Sunny and cold but dry
Temperature: Air 16C; Track 20C
Number of laps: Nick Heidfeld 96 laps, 454.08 kilometres
Track Length: 4.730 kilometres
