Felipe Massa covered 92 laps on the circuit of Catalunya as Team Sauber Petronas continued a three-day test-day test in Barcelona today prior to the British Grand Prix at Silverstone next week. He ended another productive day with the third fastest lap time of 1m.19.301s.

Jacky Eeckelaert (Head of Test Team):

"Today, Felipe Massa continued our aerodynamic program for Silverstone. This morning he was able to compare and confirm the data that we gathered during similar tests with Nick Heidfeld yesterday. Likewise, he continued the tire comparison work and also did some further development running for Bridgestone. Tomorrow, we plan to finish our program with a Grand Prix distance run to validate the modifications to the cooling system."

Felipe Massa:

"I really enjoyed driving the car today. I have to admit that I would have liked to watch the World Cup semi-final match between Brazil and Turkey this afternoon. But work naturally comes first. Jacky Eeckelaert was kind enough to put the score on my pit-board. I was so pleased with the result that I wanted to drive even faster. It has been another constructive day, and I covered more laps than anyone else on the track. My only problem came on my last lap when I thought I detected a slight change in the engine's note. It was near to its limit on the mileage. I stopped out on the circuit just to be sure that I did not do any damage."
