MotoGP champion Valentino Rossi will reportedly test for Ferrari again at Valencia next week alongside the team's race drivers Michael Schumacher and Felipe Massa. Rossi has previously tested for the Scuderia but this will be the first time he will take to the track to be compared against other drivers.

Other teams will also be present; Honda, McLaren, BMW, Toyota and Williams are scheduled to attend the test. Rossi, who will compete in the MotoGP for Yamaha this season, will pilot the Ferrari F2004. The Italian has been speculated to be eyeing a switch to F1, perhaps in 2007, but team principal Jean Todt is cagey about a possible future for Rossi with Ferrari.

Schumacher, who has yet to decide if he will continue in F1 after this season, was non-committal on the subject of Rossi. "Perhaps it might be special for him or for journalists, but I'll be concentrating on developing the new car and whether Rossi is there or not won't make any difference to me," the former champion was quoted as saying.
