Tyre work during final day at Barcelona

The final day of testing for the Mild Seven Renault F1 Team in Barcelona centred upon the evaluation of tyre compounds for the British Grand Prix at Silverstone.

Driving chassis R202-04, Jenson Button completed a typical development programme in the morning, while the afternoon focused upon long runs.

Although a programme of set-up work was also planned, windy conditions prevented any useful work.

"An effective day's work to round off a useful week," commented Technical Director Mike Gascoyne. "Jenson did a lot of miles this week, which allowed us to complete a number of development programmes, including some promising engine developments."

The Mild Seven Renault F1 Team will next be in action on Friday, 5 July, for the first free practice session of the British Grand Prix.
