Renault is the third team to announce a launch date; the R24 will be presented on January 29th 2004 in Palermo, Italy. The team retains its line up of Fernando Alonso and Jarno Trulli for next season and has taken on Frenchman Franck Montagny as test driver.

Alonso scored his first pole position and first win in 2003, as well as one second place and two thirds. Trulli claimed a podium spot in third at the German Grand Prix and Renault finished fourth in constructors' championship.

Sauber is the first team to launch so far, in Salzburg on January 12th, followed by Jaguar at the Circuit de Catalunya, near Barcelona, on January 18th.
