Jaguar's woes continue with the loss of Wolfgang Reitzle, the vice-president of the Ford Motor Company and president of Ford's Premiere Automotive Group (PAG). Reitzle has helped Jaguar's racing programme and also represented Ford on the board of the GPWC; the rival series setup to challenge F1 in 2008. He will now take up the position of Chief Executive Officer at German engineering company Linde AG.

"Being CEO at Linde AG is a great opportunity for me," said Reitzle. "It is an opportunity I felt I could not pass up at this point in my career. Ford is heading in the right direction with their premium brand strategy and I plan to assist them in my new role in any way possible."

Reitzle will continue in a consultant capacity with Ford while Mark Fields, currently president and CEO of the Mazda Motor Corporation will take up Reitzle's former role at PAG. Jaguar Racing team boss Niki Lauda could now face a tough task to convince Ford that the team's performance so far this year can justify future funds as money is tight at the parent company.
