London's Regent Street is ready to roar with the sound of Formula One cars, as preparations are under way for the demonstration run through the UK's capital.

The event is scheduled to take place in the evening of Tuesday July 6th, just a few days before the British Grand Prix. Most teams will be represented; only Sauber and Renault appear not to be taking part.

"This is a fantastic opportunity for London to see Formula One cars in action," said event organiser Harvey Goldsmith. "This event is a major achievement for Regent Street and an attraction that will draw attention worldwide."

"This event has taken a lot to put together and it is down to the hard work of The Crown Estate, Regent Street Association, Westminster City Council's Special Events department as well as my own logistics team. Bernie Ecclestone has also been a strong supporter right from the beginning."

The demo run is provisionally set to take place between 6pm and 8pm, BST. Which drivers will be taking part has yet to be confirmed. Further details as available.
