Ralf Schumacher has still yet to sign a contract with Williams for beyond 2004. Schumacher's current deal expires at the end of next season and it seemed he was set to stay with Williams in 2005 and beyond. However, discussions are still going on between Ralf and the team in regard to the future.

"There are a few contract details that I can not discuss," Schumacher was quoted as saying recently in the German press. "I am not totally satisfied and that is why the talks are still ongoing."

Willi Weber, who manages both Schumacher brothers, said if the conditions weren't right, Ralf would not sign for Williams -- although those conditions have not been disclosed.

It's speculated that Williams is not willing to meet Schumacher's salary demands but Ralf denied that money problems were the cause of the stalled negotiations. "Money is not really the issue," he added. "You can not believe everything you read in the newspapers."
