Ralf Schumacher is aiming to be back behind the wheel of a Williams at the Hungarian Grand Prix at the end of August, he said at Hockenheim. Schumacher joined his team as a spectator for the German GP and appeared optimistic about his rate of recovery.

"If it was my decision I would be back here, but it's not possible," he told reporters. "I hope to be back in Hungary. I'd love to be back as soon as possible. Generally I feel okay, just some aches and pains depending on what I do, if I walk around too much. We will find out in two weeks, we'll have a 'shakedown' and see how it has developed."

The rumour mill has recently linked Renault's Jarno Trulli with a move to partner Schumacher at Toyota next year and Ralf would like to see the Italian as his teammate.

"I've heard rumours that Trulli is on the market and he would be first choice," he commented. "It depends on who is on the market and I've not spoken to anyone at Toyota about that but he would be my choice."

As for his own decision to join Toyota, Schumacher said it was hard to leave Williams after six years but the possibilities with a new team were 'huge'.

"They have good people and a good budget and there is clearly something to come and it's just that after six years I want to try something new," he remarked. "It is very interesting to be involved a lot more and have a better chance of success."
