New McLaren signing Kimi Raikkonen doesn't only like to go fast on the track but also in the snow. The Finn recently spent some time in the Swiss Alps to film promotional material for his team and to enjoy some of his other favourite sports.

"I have always liked the excitement of extreme sports and since I was a child I started doing these sort of sports, like Moto-X for example," he said. "I like to do anything that involves an engine, like Moto-X, skidoos, jet-skis. It's good fun when I have a bit of free time. There isn't enough snow for proper snowboarding here at the moment. I did a couple of runs a month earlier in Finland. When you haven't done it for a while, it's a bit difficult, but you get used to it very quickly. I've had a few accidents, but with the soft snow, you don't really hurt yourself." He said.

An unusual way to acclimatise for the first Grand Prix in Melbourne, Australia perhaps, and Raikkonen admitted that although driving in excess of 200kmph doesn't bother him, being up a mountain is slightly more worrying: "It is a new experience for me, even if sitting on the edge of a mountain is a bit scary."
