Race of Champions competition: win tickets to see Vettel vs Ricciardo and DC vs Button

The Race of Champions returns to London next week and a number of Formula 1 drivers have signed up to take part, we are offering you the chance to see the action live at the Olympic Stadium.

Topping the bill on November 20-21 are world champions Sebastian Vettel and Jenson Button, while fellow F1 racers Daniel Ricciardo, Felipe Massa, Romain Grosjean and Nico Hulkenberg are also down to compete.

You could win two tickets for the Friday night session to see the drivers battle for the ROC Nations Cup as they engage in a series best-of-three races to crown the “world’s fastest nation.” This means you'll get to see old foes Vettel and Ricciardo taking each other on, as well as long time friends David Coulthard and Jenson Button.

The first match of Team All Stars vs Team Young stars means Grosjean and recently crowned MotoGP champion, Jorge Lorenzo, take on DTM champion Pascal Wehrlein, and Lotus reserve driver, Joylon Palmer, for a place in the quarterfinals.

In the other round one meeting, touring car driver Jason Plato and his as yet unnamed partner race against Nelson Piquet Jr and Massa in Team England One vs Team Brazil.

The rest of the nations join at the quarterfinal stage, which means Vettel and Hulkenberg will take on Ricciardo and five-time 500cc motorcycle world champion, Mick Doohan, as Team Germany faces Team Australia.

Nine-time Le Mans winner, Tom Kristensen, and his Team Nordic teammate, World Rally and World RallyCross champion, Petter Solberg, will go head-to-head to with Team Americas’ IndyCar racer Ryan Hunter-Reay and another yet-to-be-revealed partner.

Button teams up with Nissan Le Mans driver, Alex Buncombe, to form Team England Two and they take on reigning individual ROC champion, David Coulthard, and Susie Wolff who make up Team Scotland.

On the Saturday of the event, national loyalty is forgotten as the drivers’ race against each other to win the overall ROC title: “Champion of Champions.”

Speaking ahead of the meeting, Button said: "I can't wait to be back at the Race Of Champions again and especially to be racing at home at London's former Olympic Stadium.

"It is always a very special event with a good atmosphere. You're racing against guys from your own series, plus others from all over the world.

"We get to meet friends old and new from the different forms of motorsport so we enjoy our time both on and off the track.

"It's always a lot of fun, but everyone wants to put on a good show for the fans - and of course we only pretend to be taking it easy before giving it everything when we're sitting in the car on the line.

"Germany had an annoying habit of beating us at Wembley in 2007 and 2008, so it's about time we made it all the way now we'll be racing on the other side of London."

Also included on the Friday night running is the ROC Celebrity Skills challenge, which features celebrities, including six-time Olympic champion and European Le Mans driver, Sir Chris Hoy, four-time Olympic gold medallist sailor, Ben Ainslie, and rugby world cup winner, Mike Tindall, take part in a series of contests.
