An recent announcement on BBC Radio Five has confirmed that 1993 Formula One World Champion Alain Prost has tested for the Woking based McLaren team. Prost was eager to play down the test saying, 'I don't necessary want to drive in 1996.' If Prost returns he will add spice to a season which may be in need of a pick-me-up.

In related news, David Coultard is reported to be on the brink of signing for the McLaren team. Since Mika Hakinen is already under contract for 1996 then there seems to be little space for Prost to move in. Rumours suggest that the 1993 World Champion may be returning to Formula One as a technical director only, we will have to wait and see...
