Northamptonshire Police released CCTV footage of a man they would like to speak with for more information after a steering wheel was stolen during the British Grand Prix weekend at Silverstone.
The steering wheel had been removed from one of the classic cars on display during the race weekend that saw McLaren driver Lando Norris claimed his first home race victory and Sauber's Nico Hulkenberg his first podium.
Northamptonshire Police released a statement, confirming the wheel was taken at roughly 2.30 pm on Friday, 4 July.
"Northamptonshire Police has released a CCTV image of a man they wish to speak to following the theft of a steering wheel from a classic Formula 1 car," the statement read.
"The incident happened at about 2.30pm on Friday, July 4, when the steering wheel was removed from a vehicle that was on display at the Formula 1 British Grand Prix at Silverstone in South Northamptonshire.
"The man in the image could assist police with their enquiries so he, or anyone who recognises him, is asked [to] call Northamptonshire Police on 101.

The car was part of the Eddie Jordan tribute. Former Formula 1 drivers, including the likes of Martin Brundle, Damon Hill, and Johnny Herbert, gathered at the track to take part in demonstration runs and an on-stage memorial for Jordan.
This wasn't the only incident of the race weekend, as YouTubers known as AngryGinge, Chazza, and SamHam were arrested on suspicion of causing damage to an F1 car on the same day. The trio claimed that they were held for 15 hours before being released. All three YouTubers deny the accusations.
The police confirmed, "On Friday, July 4, Northamptonshire Police received a report that a classic Formula 1 car on display at Silverstone Circuit during the British Grand Prix event had sustained several thousands of pounds' worth of damage, which was alleged to have been caused by someone accessing the display stand and climbing into the vehicle.
"Officers carried out initial inquiries, and suspects were identified. Three men, aged 23, 25 and 27, were arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage to a vehicle and taken into police custody.
"Following a thorough investigation into the circumstances of the incident, all three men were released with no further action."
