Jaguar mechanic Andy Saunders was taken to the medical centre after being hit by the car of Antonio Pizzonia in private testing for the Spanish Grand Prix on Friday morning.

Pizzonia came into the pits too fast and hit Saunders, sending the unfortunate mechanic flying through the air. Luckily Saunders only suffered minor injuries and slight concussion.

"Antonio just came into the box a bit too fast and off-centre and hit one of the guys," said a Jaguar spokesman. "He's gone to the medical centre but he's fine. He went about six foot in the air, but it's just a few cuts and bruises."

Not a great start to the weekend for Pizzonia, who's future with Jaguar is on rocky ground currently. This race is thought to be make-or-break time for the Brazilian after his erratic start to the season.
