The Italian manufacturer will take the soft and medium tyres to the upcoming United States Grand Prix at Austin, and will repeat the combo for the Mexican Grand Prix, which returns to the calendar this year.

The same compounds will be used in the Brazilian Grand Prix, the penultimate round of the season.

"This should provide a range of strategy options and between two and three pitstops for most competitors, with conditions which could also be as hot as they were in Sao Paulo last season," said Pirelli.
