Pirelli has announced the three tyre compound choices available for the 2016 Canadian Grand Prix, the seventh round of the Formula 1 season.
The Italian manufacturer will take the ultrasoft, the supersoft and soft tyres to the Montreal race.
The two sets of mandatory tyres for the race will both be soft compound tyres, while one set of the ultrasofts will be assigned for Q3 in qualifying.
Under new regulations, all drivers will be required to save a set of ultrasofts for Q3.
That set will be returned to Pirelli only by those who qualified in the top 10, while the rest of the field is able to keep it for the race.
While this is the first time Pirelli announced the purple ultrasoft tyres as a choice for the race weekend, however, the same will be used at the Monaco Grand Prix before the Canadian GP.
