Pirelli has announced its three compound choices for the Russian Grand Prix, the fourth round of the 2016 Formula 1 season.
The Italian manufacturer will take the supersoft, the soft and the medium tyres to the Sochi race, the same compounds chosen for the first three races of the season.
Also like in the first three races, the soft and the medium will be the mandatory compounds that will need to be used at some point during the race.
The supersoft tyres have been assigned for Q3.
Under new regulations, all drivers need to save a set of supersofts for Q3.
That set will be returned to Pirelli only by those who qualified in the top 10, while the rest of the field is able to keep it for the race.
