Sergio Perez says his driving is the best it has ever been after reaching the top 10 in qualifying for the Monaco Grand Prix.
The Mexican put the Force India in seventh position on the grid, five places ahead of his highly-rated teammate Nico Hulkenberg.
It was the first time this year that Perez has managed to reach Q3 as Force India continues to wait on its updated car to lift its fortunes.
Although the lack of competitiveness of the Force India package means Perez's best result so far in 2015 is an eighth place finish, he believes he has never been stronger.
"Right now I'm driving at my best of my career," said Perez after qualifying.
"I've reached a very good level. I feel very confident every time I hop into the car.
"I think my season has been very good, although the results don't show it.
"Every race I have been very consistent, and I hope I can continue like that through the rest of the season so people can realise that I can still do this job."
The Force India driver said the lap that secured him a place on the fourth row of the grid was one of his best ever.
"It's hard to remember one as good as this one. Giving where we were and how good this lap was it's certainly amongst the best laps of my career," he added.
