Sergio Perez insists he has no doubts he will stay on at Force India next year, and hopes an announcement is made before the Singapore Grand Prix.
Force India announced earlier this week that Nico Hulkenberg would be retained for a further two seasons, but there were no mentions about teammate Perez.
The Mexican joined the Silverstone-based team in 2014, and has a contract with it for another year.
Perez reckons the announcement is just a formality.
"It is great news for the team," Perez said of Hulkenberg's announcement. "I think he is a great driver and for me I think the news is coming quite soon.
"I have a contract with the team, so as you know I have a group of sponsors and we are trying to make the announcement altogether so in that respect it is all clear.
"We are getting to the point where very soon things should be announced, so I expect to announce my plans hopefully before the next race."
When asked if he was looking at option elsewhere, he said: "No, I have a contract here. My priority is to stay here."
The 25-year-old says he is in talks about a possible long-term deal with Force India.
"It is things that we are definitely discussing as well, so obviously the team is going upwards and is really pushing and I know the plans for the team, so I am really happy to stay here," he said.
