Two F1 teams are testing at the Paul Ricard HTTT this week. During this first sunny day, Ferrari (Felipe Massa/Luca Badoer) and McLaren Mercedes (Kimi Raikkonen/ Gary Paffett) shared the 1E SC Short track solution (5,216 km) with a track temperature going up to 47°C during the afternoon.

Felipe Massa set today's fastest lap in 01:24.027 and set the overall best lap time on this track solution, improving the time set by Jacques Villeneuve (BMW Sauber) during the May test session.

The greatest number of laps was completed by Ferrari test driver Luca Badoer (100 laps). Teams used this first day to test tyres for the coming United States Grand Prix, completing over 1500 km. The test session will continue tomorrow on the same track solution with the same drivers.
