Haas Formula 1 rookie driver Oliver Bearman has identified his proudest moment since making his debut in the championship in 2024.
The British driver stepped up last minute to replace Carlos Sainz at Ferrari for the 2024 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix after the Spanish driver was hospitalised with appendicitis. Impressing on his debut, Bearman finished the race in seventh after starting from 11th on the grid. He became the youngest driver to compete for Ferrari and the then-youngest driver to score points on his debut.
Later in the year, he also stepped in for Kevin Magnussen at Haas after signing a multi-year contract with the American team from 2025. Magnussen was handed a race ban for exceeding the permitted limit of penalty points in 12 months. So, Bearman took to the seat of the VF24 for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. He did so again for the Brazilian Grand Prix when Magnussen withdrew due to illness. He picked up another point in Baku with a 10th-place finish and finished 12th in São Paulo.
In the current season, Bearman sits 19th in the drivers' standings at the point of the summer break with eight points. His best finishes of 2025 so far were an eighth-place finish in the Chinese Grand Prix and a seventh-place finish in the Belgian sprint race. The Briton also impressed during the Bahrain Grand Prix when he claimed the last points-paying position in 10th after starting from 20th.

The Haas driver discussed his time in the series so far during an interview with F1.com.
"Yeah, there’ve been some standout moments. I was really happy with Saudi, of course," he explained. "But this year we’ve had a few good races. Bahrain was a great one where I was fighting from the back and managed to score points.
"There’ve also been a few races where I felt like I performed really well but didn’t quite have everything to show for it – Monaco was an example of that. Also, Imola… these are races where I felt like I’ve been driving really well with nothing to show for it. Saudi is definitely my best moment so far, but hopefully there’s something that goes above that."
