Ocon: Force India needs to be "perfect everywhere" in 2018

Esteban Ocon believes Force India needs to be "perfect everywhere" next season to have a chance of staying ahead of Formula 1 rivals McLaren and Renault.

Ocon and teammate Sergio Perez ensured Force India held onto fourth place in the constructors' championship for the second consecutive season.

In this video from programme The Flying Lap, Ocon outlines the challenge Force India faces next year.

"We need to be perfect on every point next year," said Ocon.

"I hope to start on a higher point and we need to be perfect everywhere, because McLaren are coming back, Renault are coming back, so we need to be on top of our game."

Ocon also talks about his progression through the season, what it's like to go up against Perez and his love of cycling.

Desert Ride

Ocon, a new-generation F1 stand-out, rode bikes in the desert on the Monday after the Abu Dhabi GP.

We joined F1 Racing magazine amongst the dunes and the camels as he unwound and reflected on the race on Yas Island, and on the team's second successive, brilliant, fourth-place finish in the constructors' championship.
