Michael Schumacher led all the German GP, apart from a few moments during the pit stops, but Ross Brawn maintained it was still a difficult race.

"During the first stint, Michael had some problems with the tyres," explained Ferrari's Technical Director. "But then, after the first stop, things began to work they way they should. It was one of the toughest races of the year, because the Williams were very strong. Given the high temperatures, we tried to look after the tyres."

Brawn was naturally asked about what had happened to Rubens Barrichello. "Before the start, we spotted a transmission problem, so we preferred to use the spare rather than take a risk. Unfortunately, during the second pit stop, the fuel filler flap did not open, but we don't know why at the moment. We will have to investigate its causes."

Even though the series takes a break now, Scuderia Ferrari will still be working. "We are working a lot," confirmed Brawn. "The guys in the team will take a few days off, but the rest of the group is working on the new car."

Furthermore, Brawn's goals for the rest of the season are still high. "Michael clearly showed his love of racing and his passion for winning," said Ross. "I hope things continue that way!"
