Tiago Monteiro commented: "I had a good start and was running in a strong sixteenth position. The early part of the race wasn't very easy. Although the safety car made an appearance it didn't disturb me too much. With all the incidents I was up to fifteenth by lap ten and lapping with a good pace. I recorded my fastest lap in 1.24.636."

"The car was handling well but then it was starting to bottom out too much I suspect there was a problem with our damper set up. We weren't able to start on fresh tyres and the car became a bit difficult to handle especially with quite a bit of wind there was out there."

"The car was good when we got some fresh tyres on but the track was still quite slippery. We lost a bit of time in my pit stops fitting the rear right tyre in the first stop and with the fuel system in the second one. Anyway I am satisfied with the finish. I am looking forward to the race in Canada I like it a lot there and think we can have a good weekend."
