Four legendary Formula 1 cars are set to feature in RM Sotheby's upcoming Monaco auction, with an expected combined value of over €10million.

1978 Ferrari 312 T3

Estimate: €4.5million - €5.5million

The 1978 Ferrari 312 T3 was driven by Carlos Reutemann in four rounds of the 1978 F1 season and by Gilles Villeneuve in the 1979 Argentinian Grand Prix. 1991 Ferrari 642

Estimate: €3million - €4million

The 1991 Ferrari 642 chassis on offer, no. 125, served as a spare car for Alain Prost and Jean Alesi at the Brazilian and San Marino Grands Prix. Designed by Steve Nichols and Jean-Claude Migeot, the 642 is powered by a 3.5-litre naturally-aspirated V12 engine.

While the Maranello outfit was hoping for a championship title with the 642, its best grand prix finish was second at the 1991 United States Grand Prix with Prost at the wheel.

The 642 chassis 125 comes with a spare rear wing, jacks, starter and tyre warming blankets.
