FRENCH WEEK OF TESTS FOR MINARDI The Test program that starts tomorrow in Magny Cours will keep The Minardi Team and its 3 drivers busy for the next four days. Tomorrow, test-driver Laurent Redon, who will be on home ground, will start the testing. On the following day, Tuero, who left for France this morning directly after having taken part in Ducatis WDW event at Misano, will be on duty. On Thursday, Esteban will pass M198s wheel to Nakano, who will be on the track until Friday. Shinji will reach Magny-Cours directly from Japan, where he is spending a few days, attending some promotional initiatives. Besides taking some unpublished technical solutions to the French circuit, Fondmetal Minardi Ford Team will show up at this test session with some brand new personnel, who are expected to strengthen the test team, and have been appointed to take care of the long list of tests that - starting with Magny-Cours - are dotted around F1s summer season. Some important news concerning the car will be on trial in these days: longer chassis (50mm) with relevant diffuser; a new front wing group, and further development of the pedal system, which was already introduced at Monte Carlo. It is going to be a rush week also for Gian Carlo Minardi, who today flew to Buenos Aires, to attend some appointments with the Argentinean partners.
