The third and last day of testing in Silverstone, saw Esteban Tuero committed at the wheel of the M198. In fact, the final part of the development program, which was being carried out previously by team-mate Nakano, was finally entrusted to the young Argentinean driver. Apart from a short break in the afternoon, due to the replacement of an exhaust, the day was notable for a fast working rate. Esteban steadily lowered his times, and made his best time on the 50th lap, with used tyres, on a track that today, even if as crowded as usual, seemed to be slightly quicker. At the end of todays testing, which was mostly for aerodynamics, with a new front wing being tested with satisfying results, agreed on by both driver and technicians and which established the basic direction for the next Grand Prix in Silverstone. The next appointment for the test team will be in Monza, in the day immediately following the British GP. Friday: Esteban Tuero 71 laps 1:28:801 Thursday: Shinji Nakano 67 laps 1:28:529 Wednesday: Shinji Nakano 28 laps 1:30:300
