Renault F1 star Allan McNish joins an impressive driver line-up for this weekend's Goodwood Festival of Speed. Having attended the classic event in the past, McNish, currently testing for Renault in Barcelona, is eager to return to Goodwood House and tackle the hillclimb once again.

"It's a unique event," enthused the Scot. "I think every driver loves coming to Goodwood, not least for the reason that we get the opportunity to drive a wide variety of cars, all with distinct pedigrees! From a personal point of view I love bumping into heroes of mine and seeing them drive the cars I used to watch them in on TV when I was growing up."

Allan is scheduled to drive last year's F1 challenger, the R202 as well as a 1902 Paris Vienna Type K. In addition to his Renault duties, Allan, at the request of the Earl of March, founder of the Festival of Speed, will be reunited with his 1998 Le Mans winning Porsche 911 GT1.

This weekend's Festival of Speed will further add to Goodwood's reputation as the world's biggest and most diverse classic motorsports event. With no fewer than seven of the current Formula One teams attending along with countless drivers, past and present, Goodwood celebrates its tenth anniversary. First attracting 25,000 visitors back in 1993, last year boasted 138,000 visitors over the course of three days.
