Toyota's Allan McNish is frustrated by the recent rumors that speculate he will be ousted from the team in favour of a younger talent. It's the first season for McNish in Formula One but despite some good drives, the Scot has yet to score a point. David Coulthard, Jenson Button and Mark Webber have all been linked with Toyota recently but McNish said it's frustrating rather than worrying.

"It's frustrating rather than upsetting," he commented. "All I know is the team tell me they are happy with me and there's no way I'm thinking this could be my only British Grand Prix." For the moment all he wants to concentrate on is his upcoming home race at Silverstone.

"Four or five years ago I couldn't have dreamt I'd be racing in the British Grand Prix,' he said. "I've been to Silverstone many times to watch the race but it won't hit me until we have the drivers' parade on Sunday morning. If I can also score my first point it will be a fairytale."

McNish's best finish this year was seventh at the Malaysian Grand Prix. Toyota president Ove Andersson said recently that no decision had been made about drivers for next year but the team would make one soon. But Andersson denied Toyota were looking for a big name driver, saying it would put too much pressure on the team.
