Four-time Formula 1 champion Max Verstappen has given a glimpse into his life as a father in a newly released interview with stuntman Riley Harper for Red Bull and TAG Heuer.

Filmed during the United States Grand Prix weekend, the pair drove around the streets of Austin and talked about all things racing and becoming fathers.

"Today's a bit longer then, but I prefer that now. Also with the little one at home. She's like five and a half months," Verstappen said after explaining that he only arrived in Austin that day to have an additional day at home before leaving for the race.

"So it's just nice to spend a bit more time. So knowing that now for two weeks, I'm not there."

After establishing that they are both 'girl dads', the four-time champion added: "Yeah, it's been really good so far. I've been really, really enjoying it."

Verstappen has been in a relationship with his partner Kelly Piquet since 2020. The couple welcomed their first child together, Lily, in April 2025, and Verstappen has branded himself as a "bonus dad" to Piquet's six-year-old daughter, Penelope.

"My girlfriend already had a girl," the Dutchman added when asked what the biggest change was for him becoming a father. "So she's six years old now, so we've been together for over five years, so I've known her since she was one. So for me it was almost, not a shock, you know? Only now it's just dealing with that first year.

"Closing the door now, and then leaving, is a bit different. And coming back home [is the best part]."

Later on in the video, Verstappen and Harper talked more about their daughters, with the F1 champion revealing that Lily has started 'laughing, reacting and grabbing stuff'.

"She's almost sitting as well," he added.
