Sebastian Vettel gave Ferrari its first Formula 1 win in nearly two years with a fantastic drive in the Malaysian Grand Prix.

Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff says that Sebastian Vettel's first win for Ferrari was "deserved" and that "perhaps it's the wake-up call we needed."

Ferrari's first victory in two years could be the catalyst for a championship challenge, with technical chief James Allison hoping "we can push on from here".

Jenson Button and Fernando Alonso admitted they were surprised to be able to fight with other cars during the Malaysian Grand Prix.

Red Bull team principal Christian Horner has admitted that the junior team Toro Rosso “deserved” to finish ahead of them in today’s Malaysian Grand Prix.

Nico Rosberg is demanding answers from his Mercedes team at the lack of information he received during the Malaysian Grand Prix, in which he finished third.

Kimi Raikkonen believes the conditions may have flattered Ferrari in the Malaysian Grand Prix, but he reckons the Italian team is not too far behind Mercedes.

Lotus driver Pastor Maldonado was handed three penalty points for his safety car incident during the Malaysian Grand Prix.

Niki Lauda made no excuses as he said that Ferrari and Sebastian Vettel simply did a better job than Mercedes to win the Malaysian Grand Prix – and quipped that the German, who won four world titles with Red Bull, is "not boring any more!"

Toro Rosso's rookie Max Verstappen finished seventh in Malaysia, setting a new record as the youngest F1 points scorer – one that looks likely to stand for all time given that the superlicence age will be set at 18 next year.
