Reuters has advised that SAGIS, the company which runs Imola, is awaiting approval from the Italian environment ministry to go ahead with a L4million rebuilding plan at the circuit. The San Marino GP is scheduled for April 30, contingent on the requisite work being carried out. Mr. Ezio Pirazzini, a spokesman for SAGIS, said they hoped to get approval from the ministry by the end of this week.

Approximately 50% of the circuit will be rebuilt, with modifications to Tamburello, Villeneuve and the lower Variante.
