McLaren's reserve driver Kevin Magnussen has broken his left hand in a bicycle crash.
The Dane, who is one of the candidates for a race seat at the Haas F1 team for next year, wrote on Twitter on Tuesday that he had fallen off his bike.
Magnussen said he will not be traveling to Singapore for this weekend's grand prix.
"Kevin has been training extensively on his bicycle over the past few weeks and months, but unfortunately he fell off it the other day," clarified a McLaren spokesman.
"He has sustained a small fracture in his left hand, but is expected to make a full recovery within the next three weeks or so."
The team said it will not have a reserve driver for this weekend's race, despite third driver Stoffel Vandoorne being in Singapore.
"Stoffel is in Singapore to do media work for Belgian TV, which arrangement was made many weeks ago," the spokesman added.
