Former Jaguar boss Niki Lauda is pleased with the performance of Mark Webber but not too sure about Antonio Pizzonia. Lauda was operational in choosing the two drivers before he and Jaguar parted company and Webber is proving to be a worthwhile investment.

The Australian qualified third in Brazil and had a good race until he crashed, and was fifth in today's San Marino qualifying session. Pizzonia, however, appears to be struggling, although he hasn't as much experience as Webber.

"He (Webber) performed very well in the wet, which is always complicated, and here too," Lauda said on RTL. "I am a little bit disappointed about Pizzonia because I thought he might be a little closer."

"I always knew that Webber, because of his experience, would be in the lead but Webber's doing a perfect job. I really don't know what they (Jaguar) are doing to be honest but Pizzonia would need for sure more guidance from the top which nobody will do there, I guess."

Pizzonia, previously Williams test driver, has had a difficult time this weekend at Imola and qualified fifteenth today.
