Kvyat not ruling out new Toro Rosso deal

Daniil Kvyat says he is not ruling out staying at Toro Rosso at the end of the 2017 season, but admits he has his "eyes open" for opportunities outside the Red Bull set-up.

Back on his second stint at Toro Rosso after being replaced at Red Bull Racing last season, and with Red Bull protege Pierre Gasly biding his time in Japan racing Super Formula, there is a question mark over Kvyat's future beyond the end of the current season.

In an exclusive feature in the latest issue of GP Gazette, the Russian insists that he is relaxed over his future – with or without Toro Rosso – after finishing in the points in Australia and making Q3 in China.

"Right now, I'm not worried, I'm just focussing on my job on track," Kvyat told Motorsport.com's GP Gazette.

"That's what matters to me.

"Toro Rosso is a very good place to be at the moment. You cannot rule out to be here in the future, either, because it's a competitive team.

"Like I said, if you do well, you just need to keep your eyes open, simple as that."
