Keanu Reeves will front a new documentary charting Cadillac's journey to be on the Formula 1 grid for 2026.

Following the streaming success of Emmy-award-winning Brawn: The Impossible Formula 1 Story, Reeves will now tell the story of the new American F1 team ahead of next year's season-opener in Australia.

Motorsport.com revealed on Tuesday how team boss Graeme Lowdon was overseeing the operation out of six Silverstone-based warehouses as the team is built from scratch while the HQ is being constructed in Fishers, Indianapolis, which will serve as the permanent home for Cadillac's F1 operation.

It promises to be a remarkable story as the team's owner, TWG Motorsports and General Motors, have thrown open the doors to provide full access.

Reeves rejoins the production team from North One with his own KR+SH production company for this new series, serving as host and executive producer.

He said: “I'm very honoured and excited to be a part of telling the remarkable Cadillac Formula 1 Team story and its incredible journey into the world of F1 racing.

“Our goal with the docuseries is to bring audiences into the heart of this journey and showcase what it takes to participate in one of the most exclusive sports arenas in the world.”

The documentary follows the Cadillac team as it embarks on the formidable task of building an F1 organisation from the ground up.

Audiences will get an intimate look at the unique challenges of assembling a competitive team on an accelerated timeline and receive a first-hand account of the vision behind establishing a distinctly American presence in a championship long dominated by European powerhouses.

The documentary will provide insight into the first American-based team amid the backdrop of Formula 1's continuing growth with audiences in the US and around the world, as revealed by the Motorsport Network Global Fans Survey.
