Jordan's personnel are reflecting on a German Grand Prix which promised much, but unfortunately failed to deliver the Championship points which they hoped for. At today's post-race staff debriefs Eddie Jordan and Gary Anderson reported on a weekend which saw Giancarlo Fisichella and Takuma Sato either equal or better their previous best qualifying performances of the season and produce very competitive lap times in warm-up.

"I think we can come away from this weekend with great integrity in terms of the progress we have made," said Jordan. "To qualify sixth, just as we did in Canada, was a good achievement but sometimes things don't work out as expected, which is what happened to Giancarlo. Takuma drove well, and when you look at their performance in warm-up, both the drivers and the car were on the pace."

The DHL Jordan Honda team is now awaiting the return of the race trucks containing the cars and equipment from Hockenheim, before setting about rebuilding them and preparing for the Hungarian Grand Prix in 20 days time. Next week many of the travelling personnel will take a well-earned holiday, before regrouping to make a final assault on the remaining five races of the Formula One season.

Jordan Honda currently lies sixth in the World Championship for Constructors, five points behind Sauber and nine behind Renault in the battle for fourth place. BAR Honda is just one point adrift of Jordan following its strong showing in the British Grand Prix three weeks ago.
