The start of the 2005 season may be four months away but there will still be plenty of on-track action during the winter period. Jordan is hard at work preparing an interim version of the EJ14 with a 2005 spec aero package to run in early December in Jerez, Spain, where the weather should be considerably milder than the UK.

Winter testing gives the team a valuable opportunity to evaluate new components for next year's car, particularly with new regulations coming into effect.

At the meeting of team bosses on Tuesday the 9th, nine teams have agreed that as of next year there will be limited testing as part of a cost cutting initiative - so any chance to rack up the kilometres now is even more valuable.
