Owing to extreme weather conditions at Suzuka, the FIA has decided to delay the qualifying session for the Japanese Grand Prix until 10:00am local time on Sunday 10 October.

Eric Boullier, Team Principal and Managing Director:

"Considering the bad weather conditions at the Suzuka circuit today, it was clearly the right decision by the FIA to postpone the qualifying session until tomorrow morning. The rain has been extremely heavy and we saw a lot of standing water and rivers on the track, which made for very dangerous conditions. We now look forward to tomorrow and remain hopeful that we can build on our strong performance in free practice yesterday."
