Mark Webber continued Jaguar Racing's pre-season testing schedule behind the wheel of the Jaguar R4 at Valencia for the second day running.

Resuming the ongoing work on the new CR-5 engine, gearbox and Michelin tyre compounds, the Australian completed 44 laps of the circuit in setting a quickest mark of 1m12.556s.

Although the Jaguar Racing team enjoyed a relatively trouble free day at the office, two other teams were not so fortunate. Jacques Villeneuve's running was restricted by technical problems and BAR team-mate Jenson Button could only manage 25 laps before an engine problem ended his day.

The Minardi team was hampered by problems of a different kind as stalled negotiations with the bridgestone tyre manufacturer left Justin Wilson running on Avon Formula 3000 tyres.

For once, the Ferrari team did not finish on top of the time sheets, McLaren test driver Alexander Wurz finishing ahead of reigning world champion Michael Schumacher and McLaren team-mate David Coulthard.

Antonio Pizzonia takes over duties from Webber on the last of the three-day test session on Thursday.
