Jaguar Racing concluded its pre season testing programme today (Wednesday) on a wet and windy Silverstone circuit.

With just over a week remaining until the Australian Grand Prix, Eddie Irvine took over testing duties from Pedro de la Rosa and finished the day with the fourth fastest time in 1m27.42s.

Experimenting with different set up settings on the modified R3 chassis, the Ulsterman finished quickest of the Michelin runners despite stopping on the start/ finish straight just before the end of the morning session.

After BAR packed up and went home on Tuesday night, only four teams remained at the circuit on Wednesday. And it was Heinz Harald Frentzen who went quickest, finishing ahead of Jordan's Takuma Sato and Arrows team-mate Enrique Bernoldi.
