Antonio Pizzonia continued Jaguar Racing's preparations for the Spanish Grand Prix by taking over from Mark Webber for the second of a three-day test session at the Mugello circuit in Italy.

As was the case yesterday (Wednesday), the team schedule focused on addressing the launch control system as well as suspension development and aerodynamic work. A couple of technical problems hampered the Brazilian's progress, however, and he managed only 35 laps of the circuit in setting a quickest time of 1m24.979s.

Once again it was the Ferrari duo of Rubens Barrichello and Luca Badoer, running the new Ferrari F2003 GA chassis, who finished on top of the time sheets.

Pizzonia will be crossing his fingers for a little more track time as he winds up the three day testing programme on Friday.
