The Jaguar Racing team endured mixed fortunes on the second of a four-day test session at the Jerez circuit in Spain on Friday.

Antonio Pizzonia, running in the regular R3 chassis, managed a substantial 79 laps in evaluating different Michelin tyre compounds - setting the second fastest time of the day behind Alexander Wurz's McLaren. But it was another testing day for Mark Webber in the Jaguar R3C chassis, the Australian suffering engine related problems and managing just 15 laps of the circuit.

The session saw the addition of the BAR team to proceedings with Jenson Button enjoying his first official outing for his new team.

"Driving was so much fun," said Button. "It's great to be back in a racing car. I was a little worried yesterday and when I first went out it felt quicker than normal but within a few laps everything was as it should be."

Testing continues over the weekend and the Jaguar Racing team will be hoping for more lap time on the revised R3C chassis when testing concludes on Sunday.
