Antonio Pizzonia was forced to wait longer than expected for his first drive behind the wheel of a Jaguar R3 after Pedro de la Rosa's engine blew just before the end of the morning session on the second day of testing at Barcelona.

De la Rosa, who conducted sole testing duties for the team yesterday, managed only 16 laps of the Circuit de Catalunya before his session was cut short, setting a quickest time of 1m19.231s in the process.

Pizzonia, who tested for the WilliamsF1 team yesterday, waited patiently in the pits for his chance and the Jaguar Racing mechanics did well to fix the problem and enable the Brazilian a good couple of hours running before the close of play.

Pizzonia set a quickest time of 1m19.596s compared to his 1m17.747s set in the Williams FW24 yesterday.

McLaren's David Coulthard was quickest of all, finishing ahead of Darren Turner, Jacques Villeneuve and Ralf Schumacher.
