Minardi's Mark Webber gave a good account of himself testing for Jaguar Racing

As the test in Barcelona ended Jaguar Racing packed up and walked away with reams of data to analyse and another CV on the shelf. Australian, Mark Webber took the wheel for a one off test and appeared happy with his day's work. The Minardi driver posted a best lap time of 1m19.706s, mere hundredths off that of Pedro de la Rosa.

Pedro managed to better Eddie Irvine's time from yesterday by 0.4s, with a 1m19.683s lap, running in slightly cooler conditions. "We're getting to grips with the new package," the Spaniard said, "but it will take a little time to find the right way to set the car up. All in all the team has done a very good job but we are without much time until Silverstone."

Alex Wurz went quickest for McLaren, on a 1m17.121s, closely followed by a flying Heinz-Harald Frentzen on 1m18.231s. Jenson Button finished up third but gave the other teams reason to smile by stalling twice in succession while attempting to perform practice starts - otherwise it was a relatively incident free day.
