ITALIAN GRAND PRIX PRACTICE SESSION 11th SEPTEMBER 1998

The Danka Zepter Arrows Team finished today's Practice for the Italian Grand Prix with it's drivers Mika Salo in 20th and Pedro Diniz in 21st position. During the morning session, Mika's car developed a fuel pressure problem, which left his car stranded on the track and he was unable to go back out for the rest of the session. Pedro's car also developed an electrical fault and he also had to spend a great deal of time in the pits.

Mika Salo: " My car developed a fuel pressure problem during the morning session, which prevented me to compete any further, During the second session I had a very unbalanced car and when it started to rain there was no point to just go round and around in the wet, as it most probably won't rain during the race. Not a very good day for me, but at least I am not bruised."

Pedro Diniz: " We had some electrical problems all day, which we were unable to fix. Basically I did not manage any timed laps during today's session, so it was very frustrating for me. I still feel that we will be able to show competitiveness in tomorrows's qualifying session, when we will be using the D-spec engine."

Tom Walkinshaw: " After the Belgian Grand Prix, the Team did some sterling work to build a new chassis and repair one of the damaged cars, which was involved in the accident. Undeniably, we had a difficult Pratice Session today, but the problems are not ones we cannot fix for tomorrow's qualifying, when we will be using our D-spec engine, which will hopefully provide us with good grid positions for Sunday's race."

Chassis Numbers: Pedro Diniz 07, Mika Salo 06, Spare 01
