Twenty-five year old Japanese driver Hideki Noda will drive for the Simtek Formula One team this season. Last year Noda drove the last three grand prix for the Larrousse team after gaining a wealth of racing experience in Formula 3000 and Formula Three racing both in Britain and Japan.

"Having watched Hideki in both Formula 3000 and Formula One, I believe he has considerable promise," explained Simtek boss, Nick Worth. "I am also pleased we have been able to conclude an agreement now, as our new car th S951, is very different to its predecessor and it was important for us to have at least one driver in place as early in the new year as possible. From what I've seen, I'm sure we will all enjoy working with Hideki."

Noda was equally as excited about the prospects with his new team. "I was impressed with the team's achievements last year and believe we have a bright future together in Formula One."
