Lewis Hamilton claims he does not understand Nico Rosberg's accusations that he drove too slowly during the Chinese Grand Prix.
Rosberg went on the offensive over Hamilton's tactics during the post-race press conference, but the Briton said he was baffled as to why he did so.
Rosberg claimed Hamilton's driving had put him at risk of being attacked by the chasing Ferraris.
"I'm not quite sure how I compromised his race, he was never close," said Hamilton.
"Therefore I was having no impact on his race whatsoever.
"If he was right up my tail, but I was on my own. If they wanted to pit him before me, they could have done that. I had life in my tyres.
"It wasn't a problem. I was really happy with what I did with my tyres, I eked out more in the second stint, there should be no problems in the team.
"I'm really excited to see what the meeting will be like when we go back!
"We're both fierce competitors.
"Today, we both had a fair shot at getting the win. We both did everything we could to bring the car back as quickly as possible, I don't think either of us are at fault."
