A close-up of the new diffuser introduced by Renault in Austin. You'll note that the team has followed a growing trend of creating a compartmentalised outer section, made up of various perforated surfaces emanating from the outer Gurney trims. There's a new solution from Renault though - a shovel winglet (arrowed) droops down over the back of this section and is used to pick up the airflow.

Force India has introduced a new bargeboard, floor and sidepod deflector package in Mexico. Note the merged floor axehead and pre-bargeboard, which is now arched rather than having a straight edge. The vertical serrations now have a much more aggressively curved leading edge, while the introduction of the deflector means that there is one less section at the rear
